Your family and friends would rush to help you if you were drowning or in an accident, so tell them now if your life is in danger from suicide.

You can call the emergency department of any hospital.
If you do not have the number, call directory enquiries and the operator will give you the number of your nearest emergency department.
You can also call your local doctor, or you psychologist or psychiatrist if you have one. They often have an emergency number for out of hours emergencies.

Console are a support group for those who have lost a loved one through suicide. They provide support through counselling and support groups in different parts of Ireland. Check the Console website for details for your local area.
